The pandemic was another challenging chapter being inscribed in the history of a city that has intertwined with epidemics throughout its existence. Fields of memory approaches the relationships between nature, pandemics, and society from a critical perspective. It emphasizes the fact that human expansionist and interventionist attitudes towards nature and the ecosystem trigger pandemics. The project underscores the harmony between humans and nature through the physical and mental healing effects of a vibrant landscape.
On the other hand, it emphasizes raising awareness about the selflessness of pandemic workers and the protection of public health, highlighting that responsibility ultimately lies within society and the individual. The spatial structure is shaped through non-linear or chronological encounters and rituals within its various layers. The total experience that emerges through these interactions constitutes an individual journey through memories and moments related to the pandemic. The scales of the pillars offer distinct modes of remembrance and reflection.
Within this framework, the continuity of the park’s natural environment emphasizes the continuation of life and the of existence, the landscape evolves into a serene environment where life is intertwined with the earth, observed in its entirety with all its vitality.
